Andrea and Toffer first met at the financial firm where Andrea got her first full-time job as a receptionist. After months of Toffer leaving Starbucks lattes on her desk, the couple finally had their first date. Less than a year later the couple moved in together and adopted a handsome little English bulldog named Hobson.
One Saturday morning Toffer took Hobson for a walk while Andrea stayed in bed. When they got back to the apartment, Hobson greeted Andrea wearing a silver bow around his neck with an engagement ring strung on it, ready for Andrea to find. The couple celebrated their engagement with a champagne brunch at Per Lei, one of their favorite Italian restaurants, then they went on a romantic trip to New Orleans to celebrate some more.
Andrea and Toffer decided to start their engagement session near their house in the South Street Seaport area. The neighborhood is filled with cobblestone streets, old historic buildings, lots of character and charm and it’s not crowded at all, always a huge plus for photos. Since Hobson joined in on the afternoon fun, it was a great area to just walk around and capture the couple with their adorable bulldog. We then moved on to The High Line since it’s such a stunning park to walk through and there is so much greenery, the opportunities for photos were endless. It was a really fun afternoon hopping around the city with these two, capturing them in some of their favorite locations in NYC. Be sure to check out the beautiful feature on Twirl New York as well!
